SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 ULTRA'S GRAPHICS SUPERIORITY OVER THE IPHONE 16 PRO MAX

The Galaxy S25 Ultra beat the iPhone 16 Pro Max with its stunning graphics performance in the 3DMark Steel Nomad Light test, once again demonstrating Samsung's superiority in the graphics processing arena.

Samsung recorded another success in its repertoire with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This new flagship performed exceptionally well in the 3DMark Steel Nomad Light test, surpassing the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This test specifically evaluates the GPU to test its ability to handle traditional graphics processing. The results show that the Adreno GPU in the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which was used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, performed far better than Apple's 6-core A18 Pro GPU.

Earlier, the Galaxy S25 Ultra also beat the iPhone 16 Pro Max by a margin of nearly 20% when comparing the multi-core scores of Geekbench 6. Although Apple continues to lead in single-core scores, the ability of the Snapdragon 8 Elite to compete with the A18 Pro chip is quite admirable. Now, according to the results of the Steel Nomad Light, it seems that Samsung has also taken a big step forward in the field of graphics processing.

In the Steel Nomad Light test, the Galaxy S25 Ultra managed to score 2617, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max came in second place with a score of 1922. This 36% difference in performance shows Samsung's significant advantage. In terms of frame rates, the Galaxy S25 Ultra recorded an average of 19.39 frames per second. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro Max achieved only 14.2 frames per second.

This test specifically tests GPUs in direct graphics processing, and the results show that the Snapdragon 8 Elite offers more powerful performance than the A18 Pro in this segment. One of the main reasons for this superiority could be the use of a more advanced version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The chip has higher-frequency cores that help improve performance. Of course, the Steel Nomad Light test doesn't affect the CPU, so it's possible that the Adreno GPU worked at a higher frequency.

This needs further investigation, but it seems that Samsung has performed exceptionally well in the field of graphics processing with this new flagship. Considering that this is the second time that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has managed to beat the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it seems that Samsung has taken a big step in terms of performance with this phone. If you're looking to buy a flagship phone with great performance, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could be an ideal option for you.
